The i-beam: sequel to the wooden table

  • Take a look at "Figure 1" on this page. Another example of someone who doesn't understand the relationship between Microsoft Word and web pages.

  • I think they've fixed it now,sort of.

I still seen the I-beam. There even is a cursor a the bottom right of the picture :-)

  •  Yes, I-beam (text cursor) still in the middle of the picture.

  • For anyone who is missing the point...

  •  How? How does it do that? If I hit Prt Sc then I don't get the pointer or the cursor. That's some crazy juju.

Probably by using a digital camera to take a photo of the screen.

I agree, that is not a WTF, that is something beyond WTF, because you actually have to go to great lengths to archive this.

  • I see no SQL or wooden tables here.

*ducks the inevitable book thrown at him by DrJokepu*

EDIT:  why is my text so small?

Maybe using one of those screen capture programs, which is a WTF in itself as PrtScr has been working for so long it has made all those programs redundant.

Last time I checked, PrtScr was still missing two features that screen capture programs usually provide: screenshots of a selected region of the screen, and screenshots saved directly to disk.

"text panic (koro in Malaysian/Indonesian)—delusion of shrinkage of the text and retraction into the body. This appears to be culturally conditioned and largely limited to Ghana, Sudan, China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and West Africa

Also the option to include the mouse cursor in the screenshot.

Using PrntScrn here isn't that big of a WTF. Word sometimes has trouble exporting vector graphics to PNG/JPG when you save as HTML -- most often I've seen it render it too small and/or not anti-aliased at all. I've also had to print screenshots for certain fancy web pages whose formatting confuses Firefox's print function.

I see you don't understand the topic of the WTF at all then.

Then you use PDFCreator and output in png instead of pdf.

You’ve spelled “broken” wrong. The only “confusion” I’ve ever seen in printing from Firefox is when the formatting won’t fit in 8½″ at the current zoom setting, which is easily fixed by either adjusting the zoom or switching to landscape.
