Notification counter a wee bit off...

Someone/thing cannot count, and I don't think it's me. Isn't the notification counter supposed to count the outstanding (yellow) notifications?
My normal practice is to:
- Follow to each of the notifications to see what is what.
- Use "Mark all notifications read" to clean up any stubborn hangers-on. Daily, if not more often.
