I don't know which particular third world country you live in but professional software developers in the developed world rarely cost less than 40-50 USD cents a minute

$0.40 a minute is $24.00 and $48k a year. That's pretty low for the US.

Not long ago, such rates existed(*) in eastern Europe, e.g. Slovakia. I think we can broadmindedly call that "develped world" too.
(*) They probably still exist, but with Euros instead of USD.
