Penny Arcade goes all "wooden table" for a day.

The guys at Penny Arcade must be reading the DailyWTF...
-
Gabe does that whenever he's at a convention and doesn't have the time or resources to do a complete strip. There's plenty more examples in their archives.
It's not a WTF, since he's well aware that this isn't the way to put a strip online; it's just all he has time to do, and the alternative (not putting a strip online at all) is less appealing.

There is a forum called "Funny Stuff" just for junk like this. Please keep that in mind in the future.

How does one differentiate between a WTF and a "Funny Stuff" posting? Seems to me that the line is kinda blurred...

I just figured that since it was a Wooden Table Foto
it would qualify.

In this case I'd say that the content was meant to be the funny stuff, while the execution was meant to be the WTF.
However if as stated previously that this form of execution is regularly done, then it really isn't much of a WTF. (And as I am not a reader of the comic, I didn't really find it particularly funny either.)

It's Penny Arcade. It belongs even less in Funny Stuff than it does here.
-
Thread moved to Funny Stuff. Exactly where it belongs to.

A WTF is completely unintentionally funny. (But a WTF doesn't have to be funny at all)
Anything that is deliberately funny (or at least tries to) - like comics etc. is Funny Stuff.

Ooh, burn! So true sometimes though. CTRL-ALT-DEL should also never be filed here too.

But the OP was commenting on the use of the wooden table and not the joke (if there was any) in the comic itself. Or has the use of a wooden table simply become a joke in itself?

The wooden table is a TDWTF meme (but not necessarily a WTF) and in the penny arcade comic it's definitely intentional.

Yes, but TRWTF is that you have to explain this to anyone.
