Downvoting doesn't show who downvoted, funky behavior when there are downvotes and upvotes

I don't know if the first bit is a bug, but I noticed that if a post has a negative score it doesn't show who downvoted it the way users will be listed if a post has a positive score. This might be on purpose to "protect" the guilty, but I would expect the same behavior for upvotes and downvotes.
Anyway, if an upvote then returns the score to 0, when you mouse-over the upvote list will show for an instant and then disappear, instead of staying shown as in the case of sots with positive score. I feel this is definitely a bug.

More fun with votes: Upvote a 0 rated post, then undo it. The poster will get a notification that you and -1 others upvoted

I assumed downvotes don't show so another flame war doesn't happen. I consider this a feature.

@lordofduct Yes, which is why I figured the first part was maybe a bug. But showing the upvoters list for a second and then hiding it is definitely a bug. Either don't show upvotes when the post has one downvote and one upvote, or don't hide the list. Don't do both.

I actually would like it for downvotes to be public. I mean, why not? There is a way to express negative attitude but there's no way to see who did that? Kinda lame. What are we? Five? "I'll pinch but I'll pretend someone else did that."

bonus points though, with enough upvotes you stop being able to see them all in the tool tip.
in fact non admins (mods might be able to as well) can only see five upvoters.

yeah, that's weird.
what's weirder is the upvote notifications if you have @boomzilla's tweak for 1st, 5th,10th,etc enabled and there are downvotes. you seem to get a notification for the number of raw upvotes, leading me to get a 10 upvote notification for a post that has a score of 4
which is weird. not necessarily a bug though.... but definitely weird.

I can understand why downvoters aren't shown, but I don't like how + and - are summed to determine the total score, as this would imply that someone who makes a very good (but disputed) post ends up with barely no upvotes. I would prefer to see something like YouTube's system, which shows the number of upvotes and downvotes:
As you can see, the majority of people like the video, but there are some haters as well.

That's been bothering me, but I understand it's just a poor design choice, not a bug.
well, actually. you always were only able to see 5 users in the list, but the websocket used to return them all, now it only returns the first five it finds (which thanks to mongodb is usually but not always the first five to upvote)
so they fixed the websocket to only return the five it was going to show....

I do downvote but I don't see any reason why the downvotee should be unaware it was me.

I don't think that bug is related to the score. I've seen that glitch before and I don't think the score is always 0 when it happens.

@anotherusername I doubt it needs to be exactly zero. Probably a combination of upvotes and downvotes in some proportion. I just noticed it on a score of zero, so that's what I reported.

That can happen even on posts with no downvotes, so while it's a bug it's maybe not the bug you think it is.

Right, but you can ALSO see that happen in a post with no downvotes. So either there's two bugs, or downvotes aren't relevant to what's causing the disappearance.

@FrostCat Whether it's one or two, or more, is a matter for the person who fixes it to determine. I'm just reporting the wrong behavior, and the circumstances where I found it.
