Fascinating...
-
@boomzilla Interesting: I see a lot of the "Red-side" spin for the HIllary and Bernie tags being espoused from supposed liberals on my feed.
The Isis tag is heartening though. At least both sides agree on who the real enemy is, even if they disagree about how to fight them or how well we're doing. I wish I was sarcastic.
Orlando tag makes me sick. Seriously? Conservatives are proud of cops who don't protect their own citizens based on their religion? Cops don't do their job and that's "heartwarming"?
Apparently Obama's just not allowed to attend any funerals
Not really surprised by the rest of it. Am surprised that my browser tab crashed seven times trying to write this post: NodeBB and that site really can't share a process thread.

About Dom the Conservative (1465 Articles)
Dom is a conservative Christian who specializes in Middle Eastern affairs, Islamic immigration (hijra), Christianity, Islam, and Sharia law. She hopes to expose Islam as a fundamentally violent, political and religious ideology that seeks to use freedom and democracy to destroy freedom and democracy.Oh.
-
@bb36e Oh god, that makes me feel a lot better. :)
Still, nothing shows up unless it's been shared at least 10,000 times, so that's quite a following for a lone crazy.
And really, don't most of those articles
hope to expose Islam as a fundamentally violent, political and religious ideology that seeks to [...] destroy freedom and democracy
?

I suspect it's a reaction to how, after an Islamic terrorist attack, you get a lot of stories worrying about backlash, as opposed to pointing out the ideology that caused the attack in question. So...more worried about hypotheticals than what actually happened.
I can certainly say that's a common concern / WTF reaction among conservatives, myself included.
Which is how I read the article, as opposed to your take, which I think is an interesting demonstration of the point of the red/blue site.

Oh...this one is his WTF, to be sure. He went to a funeral / memorial for a cop and then got all political at it. If I had been there because I knew the cop / was related, I would have shouted some obscenities at him for what he did and walked out.
That was fucking awful.

There seems to be a filtering problem going on - a lot of the 'red' ones I'm seeing are from the same few[1] accounts, with the exact same clickbait text and article link.
[1]: Conservative Tribune, Young Conservatives, Western Journalism, Right Wing News, The Federalist Papers, and I think a few others.

@dse Also, Uzi Fasadi is an awesome pen name.

I was more talking about seeing 3 separate funerals conservatives were mad at him for attending. It amused me.
-
@Yamikuronue I won't deny that Obama derangement syndrome is a thing.

An example of what I'm talking about:
-
@Dreikin Yeah, I've seen some with a lot of repeat accounts. Still, interesting to see different takes on a particular issue.

@Yamikuronue Have you tried reading the Koran? It's not as if it's a big secret.
Admittedly you have to know a few things that Muslims don't like telling Kaffaar, like what abrogation is.

As Tim Blair says, "Muslims worried about backlash after tomorrow's terrorist attack".

@boomzilla It seems to be a recent trend among attractive girls. "How do we protest this?" "Let's get naked in front of everyone!"
Not that I'm complaining.

Interesting link, the internet has allowed information to spread much faster, which is good, but it also lets people filter all the news they don't "like" and create their own closed echochambers. And honestly, that's a terrible thing. Someone who only reads biased news will end up forming extremely destructive beliefs, and seeing any neutral news sources as obviously wrong and "bought" which will just reinforce their beliefs even more.
