... But this mobile interface is goddamn terrible. Why on earth might want to be able to see more than one line at a time? I can't imagine that might at all be useful. And by all means, please let this formatting bar take up 1/3 of my available screen real estate, by all means.

Oh? You must have found the
mobilesmall width view that is in-between the full-screen editor-forced and normaldesktoplarge screen width mode.
Try viewing in Portrait. It's not better, but at least you can type.

For added fun, try pressing the "reply" button on IE for win phone. Or IE For Windows 10.To topic, to post, it won't matter. IE will helpfully save you from the horror of the composer interface.

Mwahaha!!!! You can't!!!!TBH I can't use the "desktop mode" because custom themes mean XSS is broken and therefore it doesn't work.

My favorite: Clicking the icon will (sometimes, randomly) scroll you to a post in your recent history, and the back button on your browser won't take you back where you were.

Haven't experienced the first one myself, though the second is indeed awful. Apparently 300-style redirects aren't a thing in "SPA"-style apps.

Why would you want time-tested, proven, standardized behavior that's built into servers and browsers, when you can reinvent the wheel in untested, custom JS and sketchy frameworks?

When you can get it to work at all. The reply button sometimes initiated a reply in iOS/Safari; I haven't been able to get it to work even once in iOS/Chrome.

@Fox, actually I'm rarely using NodeBB on anything else than mobile and I manage. It is a shitfest, but with @ben_lubar's and @boomzilla's fixes it kinda works.

This happens to me on Chrome on iOS. Granted, it's an old iPhone 4. Last time I tried Safari, I got the composer to open but then the submit button didn't work.
