Unread Topic count missing on Mobile
-
Noticed when posting this CSS tweak to fix the unread counter on our narrow mode, the number does not show up in mobile mode at all:
But, reason is, those same styles apparently position the counter up at the top:
-
It would stand to reason that they didn't want to track two counters for the same thing depending on which width the window was.

@ChaosTheEternal They made this change to the CSS:
They want
position: absolute
on the "desktop" navbar, andposition: relative
on the mobile menu. Doesn't work, looks like#mobile-menu [component="notifications/icon"].unread-count:after
doesn't select anything. On top of that,position: absolute
is broken as well.Mumble, mumble, open sores, mumble, no testing, mumble...

@NedFodder That rule for
#mobile-menu [component="notifications/icon"].unread-count:after
is correct. It selects the unread count for notifications which is next to the mobile menu button (and only there when you have unread notifications):What they apparently didn't check for is the unread count on the "Unread" menu item:
Which does show up in the desktop modes:

Ah, my bad. So yeah, they're missing a rule like this:
section.menu-section i.unread-count:after { position: relative; left: -6px; top: -7px; }

I'm in the middle ground between
mobilelow-width anddesktoplarge width mode, and even more fun things happen there...

Yeah, some stuff is floating and some isn't and I have no fucking clue how it all should be made to work. I was looking at that as part of the unresponsive stuff. Fuck CSS.
