Please note this error message!

Now if only I knew the error message...
-
How do we know there isn't usually an error description right below it. Say, in text? Which would make a lot more sense than making the error message in a picture...
With no context here... I am going to have to say this is 100% mug worthy.
-
I suppose I should have added more context with the screenshot so I redid it.
There actually is an error message...but it shows up completely somewhere else. When you read "Please note this error message: " then I at least expect the error to follow immediately afterwards, not somewhere else further down. :)

I agree that they should've included the error message in the flash at the top, but it's not a huge deal on a 2 input form. I'll award you, say, 2/3 of a mug.

Not possible. Mugs are sold out! (I wonder if mine arrived already.)

You nominated someone for a half-Mug you still haven't displayed to anyone. I'm beginning to think it doesn't exist.@pstorer said:

"Please note this error message: Email address - this is a required field."
No WTF here.

It's Schrodinger's Mug <ducking...>

It's Schrodinger's Mug <ducking...>You know, that joke absolutely failed in this context. I'm sorry.

I'm signing off for today, it's late in the UK.

Late? Lightweight...
Are you suggesting morbiuswilters isn't familiar with Schrodinger's cat? I would have thought this unlikely. Anyway the existence of the cat(mug) wasn't in question, it was that the cat's state (dead or alive) was indeterminate until it was observed. Can you have a dead/alive/undetermined mug?
-
Well, dead/alive is pushing it, but you could say that the post is both mug-worthy and not mug-worthy until you read the post...
Ok, maybe that's a stretch too

Not at all - he'd just asked me to explain something in another thread.@upsidedowncreature said:

Exist / not exist = alive / not alive, for some contexts. Maybe I pushed it too far. What's more interesting is people's interpretation of the cat. Schrodinger originally proposed it as an illustration of the absurdity of certain interpretations of quantum mechanics, but even the scientific media now treat it as reality. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schr%C3%B6dinger's_cat (I have seen this independently corroborated, it's just the Wiki is a convenient summary).
Well, that's my (infinity minus one) moment for today.

Ob, I'll follow their example, I'm off to the worbshop to build me a box. The bats round here are sbary but there was a bat flying round the garden earlier so I'll see if I can batch that.

No need for floating. Just make the handle big enough to connect the two thirds together. Then seal the bottom of the top third (possibly with something transparent so it is less obvious) so the mug is still semi-useful. That way it is physically possible, can be used for drinking, and still looks rather... interesting.Alternatively, seal the bottom third as well and make the handle hollow so it connects the two thirds. This makes a 2/3 volume mug (plus handle volume). The catch is that the 'lid' of the bottom third would need to be removable to ensure it can be washed properly. (Otherwise it's likely to get broken in the process of shaking it or blindly sticking some sort of brush down the handle.)
And yeah, the way the error message is presented has plenty of room for improvement.

Actually, this would be either incredibly cool or so fucking annoying to use that it'd drive me insane. But I'm willing to find out.
