The spambots are getting scary.

Between the title grabbing, the reasonable grammar, the polite content and the post itself actually advocating clickbait... almost had to do a double take at that post.
It's just eerie. Guess I'll have to browse through my spam folder to ease my mind...
Whew! Much better.

It's just a generic comment written to be applicable to most articles.
The other method to make "realistic" spam is to grab actual comments from other similar blogs. Or worse, hijack people's browsers to append a link to their actual comments.

Yeah, but you'd expect some random keywords and links in the middle of the text, or at least utterly random content. This... is almost reasonable.
And the whole clickbait thing - it's not just a spam comment, it's a spam comment that attempts to proliferate by instructing its host on how to generate more traffic, at the cost of article quality. Evolution in action, folks.

I don't understand. If this is a bot, what's the angle?

@cartman82 a lot of systems and sites don't let new users link to things. I'd guess this is establishing some reputation for the account.

@Jaloopa that's pretty normal, I'd say.

@cartman82 flattering comments are less likely to be deleted than obvious spam. In many instances such a comment will be welcomed for raising the post's comment rate over the baseline median of 0. Then the link in the comment title lives on.
Machines will replace humans by stuffing them into a zoo and telling them how interesting they are. No violence necessary except to bring the odd sociopath in line.
