So how about that nodebb mobile layout, huh?
Almost an entire row for text entry!
AND I don't get to miss any of those other super important elements, such as two rows of toolbar buttons, empty blue bar at top, and oversized edit fields that are permanently on screen and can't be hidden!
What's not to like!?
-
@cartman82 I'm almost certain I've posted this before but my bigass phablet has room for like three whole lines!

You and your crazy person keyboard......
(Really though, I'd use that but I like me swipe typing)

You don't know that half of it!

That is weird. I thought they fixed that? Must have been a local-only patch that didn't make it back in or something..
-
I tried making a post on mobile, wondered why the text just carried on one line instead of breaking, and when I went to post it I got an error saying my tags were too long.
Looking at that first screenshot, I can see exactly what happened
-
@dse Oh right. That's what I need. A red boob. That would make the interface complete.
-
@Tsaukpaetra Pffft.
Fleksy can go invisible.

The composer buttons are spilling over to a second row. Maybe we can squeeze them back onto one row?
We have a del/ins button, so we don't really need a strikethrough button. It gets added by the Markdown plugin, so there's no way to disable it, but we can hide it:
/* hide the strikethrough button */ .formatting-bar .btn[data-format="strikethrough"] { display: none; }
And we can try to move the buttons closer together (don't want them too close, we still need to be able to tap them with a finger):
/* make buttons closer together */ .formatting-bar .btn { margin-right: -5px; }
That should hopefully let 8 buttons fit on one one row.
-
@cartman82 Also the placeholder that never goes away for "compose", because you need to be CONSTANTLY TOLD THIS IS THE COMPOSE WINDOW.
When you're composing a message.
Of course, borders around an input box do the same thing...
And hey, if you're confused as to what "compose" means, there's a helpful (?) icon. I dare you to tap it.

You suckers need a 2K screen on a tablet, like the picture I posted yesterday. I can only see one line of text in the composer, but I get the preview, too.

you suckers need a high resolution screen on a small sized device because that's the future of shitty, unusable design.
