Cannot prevent url change

E_NOTABUG, I know, but:
I have bookmarks in my quick bar above the top of the page. Sometimes, when I'm trying to click my notifications, I miss and click a bookmark. I'm pretty fast to react, so I click another link on the page to override the page change and stay on this site....
And I get the new view loading, followed by the bookmark, because this is a stupid-ass SPA and never round-trips.
