Hot chick fading

  • The hot foosball chick is sliding away from the top-sponsor slot grieves

  • I'm sure the click through rate would increase if she were to turn just a little bit more towards the camera...

  • I still can't understand what does that chick has to do with "The New Only Community" does this community promises more foosball and more pictures of chicks?

Hopefully she is a developer, designer, marketer, or entrepreneur.

  • when i clicked on her to, er "show my support" i received the following:

I'm sorry Dave, I can't respond right now, I'm currently upgrading my system. Estimated completion time 3.14 seconds.
    Hal

    ps the url was: http://www.cambrianhouse.com/?utm_source=launch+campaign&utm_medium=blogads&utm_campaign=main

    :) wtf?!

  • I have a new theory: the picture was indeed a group of developers working together as a team, unfortunately, it suffered a subtle "anonymization" from Alex P.

Dave: Open the requested document, Hal.

Hal: I'm afraid I can't do that, Dave.

From the looks of it, she could use some more "support".

  • Is a little cleavage all it takes to be hot anymore? I mean, were I single I wouldn't kick her out of bed, but I don't know if I'd be throwing "hot" around like several people seem to be. People's reactions to her have puzzled me for weeks.

Now, if she's a total geek and more shapely than that admittedly poor camera angle shows, then sure, there's a good chance that she's actually hot. But right now, not enough data!

<FONT face=Tahoma>Am I the only one who doesn't seem to see any foosball chick out here?

All I see is a blank "Sponsored By" section between the "Navigation" and "Sidebar WTFs"

No, you are not the only one.  You are one of the few blessed with a browser with the ability to block adverts.  Feel proud :)

  • Hitscan,

Tone down on the 'I'm so cool and I get all the hot babes and she's just average' bit.  Methinks thou doth protest too much.

She's hot in my opinion, especially condidering my guess that most of us also mitigate our 'hot' rating with the assumption that she is a geek--part of some development team who is taking a break from slinging code to engage in an activity where she can tease her team members (or is it team's member's) with some impressive cleavage.

I don't know where you've worked lately...and excuse me for generalizing...but most female coders I've come across (pun not intended) are ones who I would kick out of bed even without eating crackers.

Well, I'm a sucker for a cute face.  Plus she gets bonus points in my ranking for playing foosball.

I've come across -- er, make that encountered -- both attractive and less-than-attractive coworkers.  In general, I'd say that our collective 'Hot-or-Not' ranking is about in line with the population as a whole.  Lots towards the center of the bell curve, and a few out toward 1 or 2 standard deviations.

Keep in mind, most of us Male coders (myself included) would get thrown out of bed by the average female population.

(Must remember to stop using the word 'deviations' when talking about women.  It get's me all distracted.)

There's no too cool for school in my post, just an opinion. You've got a point though, the possibility of geekness skews the hotness rating, but if temporary hotness is all that's needed (I'm assuming no one here has her phone number/email, so any hotness is fleeting) then a quick Google Image Search has her beat by a country* mile. Even if you don't want all of their clothes off.

I also said that it's not a very flattering camera angle. Maybe she's hotter than that angle shows, but the world may never know.

*I think the difference between a county mile and a real mile is that a country mile bends the space-time continuum such that it feels as if you have gone for at least 5 miles, though in reality you've covered only 1. Makes drives 78% more dull. Exasperating!
