Trac -> Footprints....

  • Discourse touched me in a no-no place

    We've quite happily been using Trac for a ticketing system and general wiki-type place for storing KB-type articles for a few years.

    We are now, apparently, to move to using Footprints (from Numara,) since, it seems, it involves spending money.

    Having watched their glossy video, I'm not overly impressed - anyone here with experience with Footprints (already named 'paw-prints' round the office)? Are we in for a whole new world of hurt or is it, appearances to the contrary, reasonable/good?

    Footprints is shit.

    The only saving grace is that if your IT people don't set up your internal DNS right, and you type "footprints" into a browser, you end up on this site which has a movie of a dancing dinosaur with a shoe for a head.

    Other than that, it's inferior to Trac in every way.
