Stackoverflow Developer Survey Results are out.

I am amazed that some obvious thing are proven right with statistics.
Developers Who Code are Happy Developers

Something has gone horribly wrong! PHP isn't even in most dreaded!

@Magus There IS Wordpress, though.

@Kuro Sure. Just install enough plugins, I'm sure every 3rd and 5th one will spew out some kind of error at the user.

Every 8 seconds or so, a developer asks a question on Stack Overflow.
Every 9 seconds or so, another developer closes a question for some bullshit reason.

Huh, do they only ask random users on SO? I don't recall seeing the developer survey this year.
-
@powerlord They can't ask everyone; they might get useful feedback!

That probably explains a few things...

@Kuro They parted ways with Jeff a few years ago…

I can't help but notice that as you go down that list the less help you can actually get from stack over flow because of point whoring.
Those last two are so narrow a field that odds of you finding someone who can help you is non-existent and anyone who can will look at the point to time ratio and fuck off.
-
I like how they equate "developers" with "Stack overflow users who filled in the survey". As in "most developers have between 2 and 5 years of experience"

I am surprising that System Admins are only 1.5% of the total.
