How do you cross-post on mobile?
-
Seriously, is there a way? Thinking about it, how well does cross-posting even work here, given that the "in reply to" links seem a bit... Wonky.
-
@Onyx Not well. Watch: https://what.thedailywtf.com/topic/19342/testing-cross-posts/2
-
@Yamikuronue that sucks. Well, disregarding the broken link right now, did you find a way of even doing that using the mobile editor?
-
@Onyx No, i'm not brave enough to venture here on mobile. I also don't know how to cross-post on desktop, I just forked the topic.
-
@Yamikuronue I assumed that the same trick of hitting reply and navigating to a different thread that we used on Discourse works here as well. Guess I'll test that when I get home.
-
@Onyx OK, I'll test that. Hitting reply to your post, and navigating....
I am now on my Testing cross-posts. It doesn't look good, it still says Replying To "How do you cross-post on mobile?".
Hitting submit...
-
@Onyx What do you mean by cross posting? I assume you're talking about replying to a post on a different / new topic? Possibly showing a quote?
And not posting the same thing in multiple places.
Yeah, it's not as easy / nice as discourse.
-
@Yamikuronue well, frack.
To the
bikeshedGitHub!
-
@boomzilla yup, I wanted to do the old thing where I quote someone in SotD because what they wrote reminded me of a song...

You can reply as topic, but only on a topic level not on a post level. It's an option on the topic-level reply button menu.
-
@PleegWat And then once you've done that, you can highlight and quote from posts in topic. I haven't tried on mobile though...not sure how well dismiss / bringing back the composer works there.

Badly. I haven't found a way of minimizing it, there's an but that asks you if you want to cancel the post, not hide the editor.

@Onyx
Try the resizing thingy ... it changes between and the last state seems to be more a collapse then a change height. So in a way it's an extra Red Boobie.

@Onyx
Oh yeah ... you really are on mobile ... that's different then
