Can we please have a "new topics" section?

I'd like a way to see new topics, I tend to work my way through new topics, and rarely return to one that I've previously read.
At the very least I'd like a list of all topics with the newest at the top.
Is there any way we can do this?

Actually, SMF doesn't, not that I can see anyway. Can't see one on IPB either.

What also annoys me is that there doesn't seem to be a difference in the unread list between topics with new posts and new topics

I thought it used to be a feature of every forum but, based on the other forums I visit regularly, it seems Xenforo and vBulletin also just have new topics and new posts on existing topics in the same list.

@Luhmann The toaster that prompts you to refresh does differentiate between new topics and new posts, though
