Old tag memes

Continuing the discussion from The sound of AN ANNOUNCEMENT BEING MADE (or: Request for Comments: Comments):
Yup, that's where. Now that we have a tag cloud, we need to attack it! And someone already has: "breast programming".
I'll have to admit my ignorance here: I have no idea what this refers to, and finding the source is... umm...
Yeah... Anyone mind explaining a few of the popular ones for us n00bs?
-
This will be gone soon probably:
So:
And there have shirly been others over the years, as the tags had to be reset every so often.
-
Also, I think one time someone typo'd "best programming" into "breast programming" and a meme was born.

FUCKING HELL WHY DID IT DELETE TWO CHARACTERS WHEN I PRESSED BACKSPACE ONCE
: a bug in the Community Server editor, where if your last character was a space, backspacing deleted both the space and the previous character.throw new TagException()
: One of the forum regulars had a userscript that would put a random 8-digit hex number with the high bit set in there for every post he made. Since each tag is sent in both XML and an option in a<select>
on every page load, this bloated the page to multiple megabytes, all of it tagging information. After several database clears, he stopped putting the exception number in.- zalgo, emoji: Community Server allows all characters in tags except comma. Characters that aren't URL safe are expressed by their UCS-2 codepoint, in hex, in plaintext, bookended by underscores. This is a way to bypass length restrictions and make teeny tiny (visually) tags take up ridiculous amounts of space.
- Combining Cyrillic millions sign: Put one of these in, and type a tag sdrawkcab, and people will have oodles of fun trying to search for it or select it. Of course, since this was Community Server, there was never a Pop Directional Format, everything for the rest of the tag cloud or post -- and sometimes the rest of the page -- was backwards. Incidentally, I think that's how
klatyzarc
became a tag, as you can see in the screenshot above: it was designed to take advantage of someone doing that. community server blows goats
: well, duh!we need a new tag cloud attack
: The tag cloud was visible on each and every page. Unused for categorization, we used it for all kinds of shenanigans.USA! USA! USA!
: If I remember correctly, @boomzilla used this one a lot...- Signature Guy: Ask @mott555 (who did a pretty awesome job) or @Quietust (who was one of the first who used that bug for that purpose, nicely and cleanly). Or just at @PJH.

I agree with whatever @morbiuswilters just said

I also want to point out that the tags stopped working altogether: clicking any tag with a space in it (i.e. most of them) just gave a 404 error instead of a list of posts.

[Edit Tags]
was my contribution. It looked exactly like the[Edit Tags]
button a user gets on his own posts, so I thought it would confuse other users into thinking they could edit my tags.Absolutely nobody ever mentioned it so I guess it was a failure.

I liked it and used to include it, too.
