Has /your/ pussy been shaved?
-
A mystery cat shaver is said to have clipped the fur from around 12 animals in a string of bizarre attacks.
-
Oh well not as bad as

In Florida, a bill making sex with an animal a felony failed in 2008.
Â
Lawmakers finally passed a bill making it a misdemeanor in 2011, but it took them at least three tries to make it law.Ă_o

I bet the whole fuzz is out looking for shaved pussy
-
So they're still looking for the serial shaver?

I don't really understand why having sex with an animal should be a criminal matter. It's gross, but that can be applied to a lot of things that people do with their genitals.

Louis CK has a bit about it. Basically, having sex with an animal is always rape (real rape, not the psycho ultra-feminist kind ) because the animal is never consenting.
-
I could see animal cruelty, but things generally need to go real far before that gets used on someone. Is easier to make it its own statute.

- I suspect that is demonstrably false in some cases

I don't think cruelty makes sense in every case, though it could, at which point, it's the cruelty, not the sex that's the problem.
I thought Todd Akin called it 'legitimate rape'...
Whoopi Goldberg called it 'rape rape.'

Ah - that explains why I didn't get a satisfactory response from google when I tried searching for the politician who called it that...
-
Bullshit. By this logic a condom can't consent either. If an animal doesn't suffer during and doesn't have the mental capacity to regret it, it can't be called rape. The most obvious example, what the animal initiates it?
A possible argument on the other hand could be "it's too hard to determine whether the animal was harmed or not on each case so the only reasonable way to prevent it is to ban it altogether". Which could be debatable, but eh.
And no, I don't like bestiality, but I do hate people who try to regulate what others do based on their feelings.
-
Take it easy. Louis CK is a well-known comedian, and I'm not suggesting we legislate based on a bit from someone's comedy act. I thought that would be obvious, but I forgot which forum I'm on.
-
Fun fact: 90% of actual legislation seems like it's based on comedy.

Perhaps we should ask Kenneth Pinyan. Oh - wait...

So if you bang a child young enough not to remember the incident, or a mentally challenged person that doesn't have the capability to understand what's happening, it's not rape either? Mmmkay.

What if the animal is wearing a short skirt? Aren't they basically consenting?

No skirt, but widely criticized for being a misogynist rapist. Also constantly trying to have interspecies sex.
Due to the cat getting painted up like a skunk, this could also fit in the Guacamole thread.

That's certainly true if you can't tell the difference between a human and a non-human.

That exact thing happened in Washington State. We had a guy die because of a horse stables was being used as a, uh, sex stables. Turned out there were actually no laws on the books actually making it illegal. (They got them on some unrelated tax dodge or animal cruelty or something, IIRC.) Then our legislature had to draft up a "please don't rape horses" law.

Of the survivors, one entered an Alford Plea for criminal trespass, the other was never charged - insufficient evidence.

Anyone who knows anything at all about horses ought to know that you can't stand behind one and try to do anything if the horse doesn't want you there doing it.
-
(Uh, it was the other way around.)
-
Well, if the horse was the one doing the penetrating then it can't possibly be rape. Only the penetratee can be raped.

I don't know.
I know a lot of my liberal friends that get their news almost exclusively from comedians.
I'm not sure if they even know that it's comedy.

I remember politicofact (I think) ranked a shows viewers by how aware of the news they were. The Daily Show and Colbert Report had a great time ripping Fox a new one for being so low but if you actually went and looked at that list. They were actually lower.I'm not suggesting we legislate based on a bit from someone's comedy act.

That's pretty funny given that,
Media, even news media, and especially television, is purposefully geared to report on sensationalism. So you're guaranteed to have low awareness.
But, comedy news is even MORE geared toward selective news.

... and Facebook and Huffington Post. Those are the same people that cry about how evil Fox News is like it's some sort of bogeyman (any moreso than the liberal equivalents).

It's funny because O'Reilly is actually left leaning.
