Another little cub xaade joins the world

7lbs 5oz little male cub in time for Valentine's. Good gift for the wife.
I may have him dance on the keyboard for you guys.
-
Congrats. What breed?
-
Same as me
Half cajun half asian.
I guess, cajunese?

Then congratulations indeed. But, unless your culture is very different from mine, I wouldn't call it a "gift" for your wife. She bloody well had to work for it, I presume.
-
She's a champ.
We named him Vincent, so the timing is not lost on us.
-
Congrats!
-
That's a great news! Cheers, mate!
-
Congratulations @xaade!
-
Good gift for the wife.
Spending Valentine's Day in pains of labor? I'll stick to socks and ties...
(and congrats, of course)
-
My daughter says it is her baby.
Oh boy...
-
Congrats. Two kids now? How old is your daughter?
-
5
-
5 kids? I would go insane. You must have the patience of Job.

-
Wrong question.
How old is your daughter?
5
I know a guy with 5 kids though.
He is patient too.

Dîbesh Idarâbir, Gelder has given birth to a boy.

I have two sisters and two brothers.
Sir, I asked if you have any transistors. This is an electronics store, right?
-
Congrats on the cub. Sleepless nights ahoy again.
-
Congratulations!
-
Congratulations! I hope mother and baby are well :-)
-
Congrats! (Sorry it's late. Haven't caught up with the entire forum lately.)

Doctors telling us to watch out for jaundice.
I have varying colors of warm to cool lights in my house, and I'm looking at them to tell if a half-Chinese baby looks too yellow.

If you got a good look at his skin color, you should be able to tell the difference if he starts getting jaundiced. It starts from the head/upper body and works down, IIRC.
-
Yeah, it's when we noticed a difference between his head and hands... but it's so slight that it's hard to tell. They took his blood and told us 13.6 with 20 being too high, and said we are good.

If you could see the difference when it wasn't too high, you're probably fine. If he looks worse in the next day or two, take him back in. In a week or less it shouldn't be a problem.
My son was born a month early, released a bit too soon, and we had to take him back in to the hospital for about 2-3 days under three lights. By then his kidneys were functioning well enough.
As long as you're on top of it it's not likely to be a problem, and it sounds like you are.

Much appreciation.
