2. Who thinks this screenshot looks familiar? http://eaglemode.sourceforge.net/screenshots/em02.jpgOk - they probably have different future plans, etc. but it really looks like both of them went in a horribly wrong direction.
3d zoomable interface? mouse? errr... no, thank you - I think I'll wait for delivery of 24'' touchscreen (or at least powerglove) first...

Eagle Mode looks intriguing, but I'll stick with FSV.

Is it useful at all? I was looking for something like that for a long time - but each implementation was worse than the rest... 0 usability, just graphic tricks. I'm much more productive on commandline anyways.

Amazing ... all I have to do is revert to 8+3 file name lengths and I'll be in heaven. Forget about organizing files in logical folder or anything. I can just walk around the city streets until I find the building that's the file I need. Ah here it is, the Quarterly Diverse Segment Report for Wholesale, 3rd quarter 2007: QDSRW7Q3.XLS! Found it!
If you ever lose track of where you are, just press the button with the birdie on it, and you'll fly up, up, up for an aerial view.
Oh I'm sure I'm be flipping the birdie quite often with that.
At least it ain't the Vista Control Panel...

Not correct, some of the screen-shots have 15+ character directory and file names. Other than that it looks ugly as Windows 1.

Believe it or not, that was an actual application from SGI. It was called fsn, but SGI have erased all traces of it from their site.
