Discourse - Each Day There's a New Adventure Waiting for You
-
I was trying to write a response to @Remy in the Lord of the Rings thread. And suddenly this happened:
I know, mobile is but it will never stop to anger and amaze me at the same time.
-
It's less an adventure and more a horror story.
-
Also that 8% battery isn't going to last long if you've got Discourse open.
-
It's less an adventure and more a horror story.
Well, but of the create-your-own-adventure kind.
-
Also that 8% battery isn't going to last long if you've got Discourse open.
It's already at 5%. Pic, 'cause it happened.
Paging @Lorne_Kates, 'cause low battery levels triggers him.
-
And by the time the post finished submitting, he was down to just 3%.
Will he make it to his charging dock in time? Tune in next week to find out!
-

Well, you're close. It's 4%.
What makes me anxious is that I have a tram ticket bought using an app and I don't have any change to purchase a medieval ticket.
Wow, now it's 3%.
Guess I should rename this topic to @cartman82- style Dead Report - Is kt_'s Phone Going to Make It?
Ok, it's 2%. I'm out.
-
Damn. I knew Discourse was a drain, but that's pretty epically bad
-
Assuming the % is accurate.
I've seen my BlackBerry sit at 0% for at least 3 hours before.
-

Maybe you should stop dicking around with Discourse then?
It also decreases your battery lifetime by the way.

No shit, Sherlock. Now I have to completely rethink my whole way of life! I'd never, under any circumstances, think that Discourse could be a battery drain.

I was actually down to 1% when posting.
Actually, it's iPhone's way of measuring battery level. It goes pretty easily to 1%, then it hangs on for a bit (sometimes even quite a few minutes) just so it can finally give up. When it gives up, you need to charge it while switched off for around 10 minutes before it starts up. (Also, it has to start up to charge beyond that point. This is also the point where check for the original charger is performed. I know, I've been there. Had to return the Chinese cable.)
-
I don't know what to respond, so I'm just gonna post big animated gifs to spend your battery faster, if that's what you want.
-

How does it feel being an ass-slave to Apple?
-
-
-
Before what?
Before it hit -1%? Then it went all the way down to -100%, then all the way back up to 100% and then it discharged properly.
Enterprise.

I usually practise "safe Discourse" by ensuring that my batter remains above 80% at all time. Discourse is still terrible though.
-

OK, it didn't make it. I have left it alone for around 15 minutes and then went back to using it. It broke down around 6:50 PM, less than 5 minutes from the charger. Poor thing.
But I'm glad to say my sweety is back up and charging. I promise a lot more adventures and funny stories of our life together. So stay tuned for the next episode!
THE END

As parents tend to say to their children: "If you're going to use Discourse don't forget to use protection."

Your batter being over 80% should ensure the mozzarella doesn't melt away inside.
-
Thank heaven for phones with battery packs...
(WiGLE is, for a good reason, probably worse than Discourse for batteries.)

Huh? Where's the mozzarella?

Which would make the bat illegal, sadly

only until it's deep fried.. then it's just delicious

Assuming the cheese is still inside after ;)

After what?

wqell if it's not then you just eat the crust wich is still tasty, and has this nice pocket inside for marinara sauce (or whatever dipping sauce you prefer)

Just received a notification. About a reply written 3 hours ago. That I have read and replied to within minutes.
Good job, , good job

just makes me think of the PiGLE WiGLE

If you're driving a war you better make sure it consumes at least a bit if your battery.
Otherwise⦠not legit!
