Account activation
-
Funny how account activation works on this website. When i log in i get the message:
Your account is pending approval
Until your account is approved you will be unable to sign in. You will receive an email when your account has been approved. However, as you can see i am logged in. Seems the website doesn't care about approved accounts and just let you log in. Wasn't sure where to place this, but "side bar" WTF seemed ok, as it said "Because more things make us ask WTF than just code"

TRWTF is, as usual, Community Server.

WTF are you doing hacking the website? Mods, can we ban this hacker before he steals our identities?
How do I even know this is me posting this message? IT CAN BE HACKERS!

I signed up for a website the other day, and on the Welcome page there was this link, something like
"The admins on this site would like you to read our House Rules."
Clicking the house-rules link gave an error message telling me I didn't have the privileges needed to view the house rules...

That's fine. My superstitious adblock filter here thinks it's an ad anyway.

I blame the HACKERS.

Not exactly the same thing, but I once got a question from a member of an organization that I work with. They wondered why the webmaster had never replied to an email. I checked, and the webmaster said, "The link on our homepage to webmaster@fubar.org? I just trash all email to that address, it's all spam."I signed up for a website the other day, and on the Welcome page there was this link, something like

I decided not to ask why we display an email link that goes to trash.

No "You've requested to reset your password. Go here: forums.example.com?reset={guid}", huh?
Good thing you can't see member's user names.

You can't fool me. Real links show a hand pointer icon.
-
When I registered I also noticed the same thing. In addition, the message was base-64 encoded and marked as important (and, of course, contained no useful information whatsoever even once decoded).

I was bored, so I searched for your new super secret access token in YouTube. The first time http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=v8SQY[waE-z3De returned Waka Waka. Then some movie trailers. Then Waka Waka. Then some anime. Then Waka Waka. Then music videos. Then Waka Waka. WTF?

Same problem here - and it's been that way for a month or so.
