Get Richard

  • This is an actual error message thrown when I attempted to play Rise of Legends (or I think it was Rise of Legends), and the game would just crash when one tried to ran it.
Appearently there was some trouble with my (brand new) motherboard.
The last line of the form is in spanish because of the languege installed in the comp (I'm from Argentina) and it reads "Click RETRY to debug or IGNORE to remove this message and continue", of ourse, there was no way in hell one could get to play after that.

    Get Richard (WTF)

  • I was gonna add "8. You linking the tumbnail image without a link to the full one" but you fixed that in a ninja edit! Nice work.

Why don't you try to contact him? Richard is most likely this guy: http://www.bighugegames.com/team_rjose.shtml

I'm just gonna guess that his email is rjose at bighugegames :)

  • Discourse touched me in a no-no place

If you're unsure how to use MSPaint to crop screenshots, could I point out that Alt-Print Screen will screen capture the currently active window instead of the whole screen.

In addition, MSPaint will also allow you to save files in the PNG file format.

    HTH, HAND, etc.

  • I've sen other pl posting ful screens, so I didn't think it'll be a problem.

    I'll fix it now.-

edit: k.. I didn't know one couldn't edit the main post of one of these things. I guess we'll just have to deal with the huge pic (apoligies to whomever still uses dial-up)

You can still change the actual image, as long as you can get imageshack to name it the exact same thing as the big guy.

Although the dimensions are there to stay.  Whatever image you replace it with will be resized to 1024x768.  Oh Well.

Most of the time when a full screen is posted, the full screen is relevant.  Not trying to flame, just inform.  Now you know.

FWIW: Not possible. It chooses a random host location and appends random data to the end of the filename. The only option for existing images is to delete. There isn't a rename or replace.

Hmm. Looks like one of those dodgy get-Richard-quick schemes to me.

And for bonus WTF points the message doesn't match the buttons ("ignorar" vs "omitir", assuming the buttons are Spanish for "Abort, Retry Ignore"). You sometimes see a dialog message in English with localised button text e.g. "OK, Abbrechen", but this version takes it to another level.

LeechFTP used to do that, back in the day.

  • Duplication prevention bot reporting in. You have violated the "don't repeat frontpage" rule and will now face the consequences.

Duplication prevention bot?  I thought we shut that thing down when it started killing people for using words that appeared in front page articles?

  • aaah, now I see what this duplication prevention bot is about. I've just checked the link and this was already been show -but on an "in game" screenie-, so appearently I'm some sort of evil doer for not knowing that and should be busted to hell, or either this thread should be blamed to hell. Or anything else that for some reason uses the word "hell" as a way to show exclamation.

ps: sorry for the rant, 2 hours of practicing hiragana writing, while listening to some random rap courtesy of winanmp's shuffle, can disturb anyone's mid.-

    Relax. It was a joke.

Note that on this forum you should be paying attention to the tags (and almost always assume that </sarcasm> is present, even if it isn't.)

Note: you will still face the consequences. Please stay where you are.

yeah I know, it's just that I'm used to slightly more subtile sarcasm (sich mostly requires propper use of "(?)" or "[/sarcasm]", but anyway, it's nice to get such a worm welcome (?).

ps: I meant to say "flamed to hell" not "blamed to hell", my bad.-
