Samsung does servers, and is subjected to frequent change
-
I'll just leave it here:
-
I'm not sure what's the most worrying about that.
Probably the "stops the server room power outage"
-
I'm not sure what's the most worrying about that.
Just the topic title is scary enough.
Topic title "Samsung does servers" preserved for posterity, since such things are subject to frequent change around here.
-
It's possibly obvious.
From Januarty 16th until Januarty 17th, this gerrit system stops due to the scheduled server room power outage.
-
As long as they don't produce servers, I'm happy (ish)
-
-
-
I'm pretty sure the correct interpretation:
They were having server room power outages, and this gerrit system stopped them.
-
We all know nothing stops a power outage, like a good old code review.
-
I do not dare to delve into the depths of how their previous build process could have been causing power outages...

-
Is that a Venn diagram with no overlapping segments?
-
Is it bad that I looked at the icon for Excellence and immediately thought ?
-
That icon is most appropriate.
-
No, it's a pie chart with a hole in the middle where Samsung is.
-
If you look at the icon it shows that the "Excellence" is concentrated at the bottom of the organization. The higher up you get, the less there is.
"Samsung Values Change" is a poor translation of the original Korean statement which would be better represented in English as "Our Ethics Are Flexible".
"People" are represented by the letter "i", which does not appear in the word "team". The arms and legs have been symbolically removed to prevent rebellion or flight. At least I hope it's symbolic. That employee agreement was really long, and I don't think anybody really read it all the way through.
"Coprosperity" is a large person standing directly behind a smaller person. We cannot see what the large person is doing with his hands, and I think that's a good thing.
The Samsung Value of "Integrity" keeps looking at me funny. I don't know what it's thinking, but it's not happy.

I thought that was an interesting choice of words for a Korean company:
-
... seriously? "Coprosperity?" Like what Japan called its conquered territories with puppet governments in WWII? The word invented PURELY for that purpose?
Wow.

I thought that was an interesting choice of words for a Korean company:
Seriously! Glad I'm not the only one who saw that.
Talk about tone-deaf.
