Who cares?

  • Found this jewel of naivety on eeggs.com:

First go to Marquee sreensaver and write "who cares" (without " ).
After about a month it will change to "I Do."

  • I like the commenter who complained he had the screensaver set for 2 months and it never changed.  The only response to that is to explain that it only works if the screensaver is actually running for the entire month.  Any mouse movement or keyboard tapping that wakes the computer will reset the clock.

Oh jeez you gotta be fucking kidding me.

Actually I think those "X number of people found this comment helpful" things are a WTF in themselves, unless you're going to do something with the comments after they've been rated (i.e. the higher-rated comments are listed at the top) what's the point?

I suppose it might help if you're browsing through looking for comments which might be, um, helpful but I can't really see the need.

You'd be amazed at how persistent the AOL crowd can be (or is that 'horrified'?).

It's also wildly innacurate. People who find the comment completely unhelpful are probably just going to leave the page rather than stick around just to vote it down.

Uhhh... *blink*... that's a joke, right?  The game says the max for holding the button is 6 days, which I believe, because someone lame enough could have just taped their mouse button down and left it alone for a week.

It also says the AVERAGE is over 2 hours.  God damn.

it actually says 6 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. which is logical, considering the text above it says "records for the past 7 days". so it might have been a month actually.

It's actually 6 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds, and 5 milliseconds.  Somebody's math is a little off, because I sincerely doubt someone let go just before a full 7 days.
