Sunny night
-
Weather report from a portuguese web portal: I went to my balcony and it feels about right, but the haze is kinda keeping me from spotting the sun.
At 3 AM. In Lisbon.

You mean the normal icon for mist is a different one, and this weather status icon is fucked up?
I mean, mist is totally plausible late at the day, even though obviously changes are reduced as the morning progresses.
I'm just asking because I don't see the immediate WTF.
Isn't Portugal supposed to be hot all the time?
-
Sun at 3 am local time? So what? That's supposed to be a problem or something?
-
I mean the weather icon has mist covering... the sun. At 3 AM.
-
Oh, AM.
Fuck, I must be tired or someting.

Perhaps that's not intended to represent mist, and the smudge is actually some fancy, subtle, 'arty' way of indicating it's night time?
(As if you didn't know already.)

Ok so they need a "mist at night" icon. Big deal.
Still kinda funny though
-
Of course it's hazy. With 100% humidity what did you expect?

No, not really. We even get snow occasionally, though it happens mostly on the northern regions.
-
It's simple, really. Visibility is only 1km; the sun is farther away than that, so you can't see it.
-
Far away indeed, like on the other side of the globe!

That's why the rocks in Arizona are red.
