The real What The love is that it took you 6 minutes 52 seconds to unhighlight the text and open a TDWTF tab? What conditions led to a 7-minute timeout? Do you always get that timeout, or does the timeout increase the faster you post? I could see that as a guard against bot posts.

Having never used reddit, I checked it out and found this post near the top of it's Digg-like list:

It's a rant about how reddit is a time sink and has become filled with funny videos and conspiracy theories. My favorite part is the life-imitates-technology term in the first sentence:
"I went to an extreme this week: I force quitted myself of the reddit habit."
Are all discussion forums doomed to triviality and juvenility as their audience expands?
