Desperate Shutdown
-
I was playing a video game when my PC suddenly turned off. Upon investigation I found the following error message from amdkmdag in Windows Event Viewer:
System shutdown due to graphics card overheating (ID: 6145)

And you assume your system cannot shut down 32262 times within 13 seconds? That's like 2481.69 frames per second, man!
-
I'm so disappointed it couldn't shut down 506 times more. That at least would have made sense.
-
That would be -1 times. It turned the computer on because it overheated?
-
That would be even better.

Maybe the PC was in a really hot room and switched itself on to power the internal fan.
(I suspect this may not actually work given the laws of thermodynamics.)
-
No no no - clearly, it would be turning the computer on due to underheating. Makes perfect thermodynamic sense!

have we had a fanboy drop by yet and point out that their nVidia could try and shutdown the machine 65000 times in 13 seconds, making it twice as fast?

Just you, now.
