We want you to work contract for us by tomorrow, lowest bidder!

  • Here is a pretty ridiculous contract job offer I recently received.  Not only do they want you to start one day from now but they also will only give the contract to the lowest bidder.  Welcome to quality software engineering!  I think the "elastic compute cloud images" were bouncing around inside her head as she wrote this one.

    Let's spam her!

  •  All addresses are now in all the spam lists that I know of... It is going to get pretty unbearable for her.

  • Introducing PLAYXPERT: The massively extendable, customizable in-game toolset that will change the way you game.

So, is there an actual product?

  • Sounds like the perfect candidate to hire the $2/hour developers from Rentacoder.com.

Edit:  It says at the top "Keeps you in game." which is against Warcraft's ToS.  If you bot in the game to keep you from logging, they'll suspend your account.

  • This is just a brief overview of the PLAYXPERT technology.  If you join our Inner Circle, you will be able to download and use the PLAYXPERT during our beta, you will also have access to loads of additional information about the product.

Snooty elite .... (oh come on help me with some adjectives here) ...

This is just a brief overview of the 2008 Ford Thunderbird. If you buy the car you will be able to drive it and have access to the owner manual for additional information about the product.

  • Ooh, an in-game toolset! So you can develop your games while you're playing them?

  • As far as I can tell, it lets you overlay other activities while playing a game.  So while mining your horde for epic mounts in WoW (note: I clearly don't play WoW), you can also be looking at a walkthrough on the web, and checking something that looks like a performance monitor.  It's kind of a cool idea, except for the fact that it probably brings your game to a screeching hault.

Well their site says that this stuff is done "at the kernel level" so it doesn't affect framerates and doesn't get detected by punkbuster.  I'm not even sure what that means but it's almost enough to make me want to try it out.

Anyone have a spare VM Slice and want to take this thing for a test drive?

  • It seems like a competitor to XFire, but with plugins.
