I'm sure it is a pure coincidence that the guy in the video, taken by SpectateSwamp, is apparently some friend of Swamp and also appears to have a serious case of Tourette's Syndrome.  Has Whitecourt's water supply been tested for mercury lately?

Too bad Swamp will never be able to follow that link, once he copies-and-pastes your post to his gigantic "thedailywtf.txt" file.

Well, Alberta is the Canadian Texas. Big cars, bad drivers, lots of hydrocarbon fumes, hubcap-sized belt buckles, and once you get outside of the three big cities/tourist areas, you're generally in places where it's possible to be your own father. Too bad we can't blame his mumbling on Alberta. For totally incomprehensible English in Canada, you've got to go to Newfoundland.

Here's another theory... Swampy's got enough hair to be Bigfoot. His friends could've 16mm'd him walking in the woods (as we all know he likes to do) and started off all those legends. The quality of his movies is certainly bad enough to qualify.

He doesnt need to follow the link - he can easily see all of that movie as random 2-second chunks, interspersed with 'yellowhead yellowhead yellowhead' and 'data processing data data processing'

Having said that... that could well be the funniest video ever!

Way way funnier video. With the same two Canucks. Spruce Hen shoot out. Between 15 and 20 shots were taken at 3 Spruce Hen. They didn't move a muscle and finally walked off into the bush while the 3 or 4th reload was happening. I had both video clips posted under spruce hen shootout or something like that. If I can't find them I'll re-upload em.

Sasquatch is out there. 50 years ago Jim B (a local trucker saw one cross the road) on the Virginia Hills road. It had a main like a lion A large harry monster. Each summer we make a trip there with the Camcorder. Just in case. July 26 1998 Beardies Reserve Saskatchewan. A lady I knew from the pulpmill had one walk through her yard. She has casts of the imprints. I saw pictures of the casts. 1988 while driving to Alberta. A passenger of my truck saw one out the back window. I have the drawing done right after the incident. The spot is hard to get to and we haven't tried to do a search there.

    Quite amazing!

Mr. Swamp might not have upset the (relatively nascent) desktop search industry, but with a little bit of effort, he will upset the (well-entrenched and aggressive) music industry!

With a few good turns of phrases, mr. Swamp has inspired people who don't know a lot of music production to grab the tools at hand and write catchy protest songs. We have to believe. This is the rather well kept secret about the Power of Trolls and the Internet Drama: they inspire works of art. Hateful art, perhaps, and perhaps also art that might not have lasting impression on the society as a whole, but I have always been in favour of anything that gets people off their butts and using their creativity.

If mr. Swamp continues with this line, the whole planet is singing the songs of the AntiSwamp by next year!

Desktop search: Art of debate. Art of code. Art of protest. Cryptozoology. We've truly had everything in this thread, and we will have everything in this thread.

    And I'm only half-humorous here.

Actually, I just stumbled on the description of the Dunning-Kruger effect on wikipedia, which explains Swampy's behaviour quite well (and is pretty interesting in its own right). In summary, it states that:

    1. Incompetent individuals tend to overestimate their own level of skill.
    2. Incompetent individuals fail to recognize genuine skill in others.
    3. Incompetent individuals fail to recognize the extremity of their inadequacy.
    4. If they can be trained to substantially improve their own skill level, these individuals can recognize and acknowledge their own previous lack of skill.

    Respect is for friends only.

This is a description of the SwampShack!

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Albertabird/message/9044

Mr. Pederson lives at 39 Riverside in a trailer court. He puts out

buttered bread about 6 o'clock every morning in his small back yard. The

Hooded Crow, several American Crows and an occasional Ring-billed Gull

come in to feed. Mr. Pederson requests that viewers do not enter his yard,

as the crow is quite wary (and the yard is tiny). The best viewing

location is from the road that runs behind his house, called Riverside

    Road.

To get here, drive into Whitecourt on Hwy 43. As you drop down into the

river valley (coming from the east) you will see a sign indicating West

Mountain Road. Turn left at the intersection (traffic signal). Drive south

aprx 200 meters and turn right onto Riverside Road. Continue aprx 300

meters (road bends slightly to left). On your right are the back yards of

some of the homes in the trailer court. You will see an unpainted

chipboard shed in one of the yards. Mr. Pederson's house is the next house

to the southwest, with a bright unpainted aluminum shed and an old

charcoal cooker in his yard . Although it's impossible to see directly

into the yard because of a hedge, the bird often sits on an unpainted

board fence between the two yards. Last evening we saw it perched on a

fence post on the opposite side of Riverside Road, and this morning it

flew around a bit and landed in nearby trees several times.

Ken's GPS readings at the viewing site were North 54 degrees 8' 11.7",

    West 115 degrees 41' 59.8"

    Here's an oh-so relevant passage:

"For example, consider the ability to write grammatical English. The skills that enable one to construct a grammatical sentence are the same skills necessary to recognize a grammatical sentence, and thus are the same skills necessary to determine if a grammatical mistake has been made. In short, the same knowledge that underlies the ability to produce correct judgment is also the knowledge that underlies the ability to recognize correct judgment. To lack the former is to be deficient in the latter."

    a) That guy is the worst shot I have ever seen.  I really hope he WAS drunk.

    b) Shooting from a car (or truck) is about the most cowardly way to hunt. At least be men and go take a walk while shooting at wildlife. There are laws about this in every place I have ever been to.

    c) They give retards guns now?

    d) I think we could keep Swamp and his retard friends busy for the next few months with nothing but a box of ammo and a duck decoy. Sounds a lot better than Swamp continuing his trolling on this forum...
