Also, if I try to edit the post, the preview also shows the broken version - but if I Ctrl+A the whole post, cut it and paste it back, it suddenly works.

According to Jeff, everything that has to do with tables is not a bug but a feature... So this is clearly categorized wrong!

Are they even supposed to work? As in, maybe they only fucked up the preview filters and it shows what would happen if tables were whitelisted?

See the Mafia thread, for example - tables normally work.
@dkf says the problem are blank lines between the table elements. I say the problem is Discourse.

Tables are whitelisted. But they're discorsistent, like everything else around here.
