So, I'll just check if my allowance has been reset... Can someone help me decrypt it?

  •  Apparently,T-Mobile don't use minutes and seconds to describe the allowance they give you per month, but they don't describe what they DO use, but I was kinda hoping someone here does:

    (Call Allowance, right hand side)

Apparently its in minutes, but I'm not sure what the second column is.

67 is 99 minutes converted to metric.

  • Leap seconds.

  •  They are probably using an embedded device with no filesystem.

     (cue mass groaning)

  • It's a ratio: 99 to 67 minutes.  Or 1.47761194 minutes, if you prefer decimal.

    Here's my Silly Wild-Ass Guess:

The first number is hours, but it's only stored as two digits so it's maxed out at 99. The second column is minutes. Normally when minutes > 60, they'd move those 60 minutes to the hours column, but in this case they can't since it's maxed out.

Either that or "there" website was designed by college drop-outs.

  • Personally, I think you are giving the web developers far too much credit.

That and the fact my monthly plan only gives me 100 minutes of calls to off-net mobiles free.

It's an index. Apparently, there are 66 other people on the same tariff as you who have 99 minutes of call time left.

Personally speaking, I'm more interested in why you chose to block out the tariff name, when it looks like their generic £10/month deal, rather than something which would tell us anything more embarrassing about you.

  • Damnit! I knew I should had blocked out the number of free text messages also, and maybe changed the 99 to another number.

Now you know what package I'm on!

Ok, yes, it's the Pay Monthly 10 deal, but after a bit of talking to a CS rip (and a fair amount of hanging up and redialling to get different reps) I managed to get a £2.50/month loyalty discount and free phone, even though this is the first I've ever used T-Mobile.

The web page still says the same number (expected as I've not used any minutes today), but the text message service says I have "99.4" free minutes remaining.

  • Garbage Person

     ... 99.67 minutes. Duh?

Also, that's the most UNGODLY SHIT mobile plan I've ever seen. I thought we Americans were in the dark ages.

He's just being prudent in not buying what he doesn't need.

Although, I'd say he was being a bit presumptuous in assuming anybody would want to talk to him for even 100 minutes.

Incoming calls are free, so maybe he'd just get everyone to call him instead?

  • Calls to the same network and to landlines are also free, as is Internet. I don't tend to call mobiles that often, so there's no need for more than 100 minutes per month. If I go over that however, I just use Skype.
