Definitely. Hovering over it in Opera reveals I'll go to opera:illegal-url-###

The last part increments for each encounter I have with one. It's currently at 295.

What is this Opera you speak of?  I suggest you get FoxFire ftw.

You are one to be speaking of "n00bs" if you don't know what Opera is. It's been around since 1995. And "FoxFire ftw" ?! LOL!!

Notice he gave up on a hyperlink in his signature though, went with plaintext.

Good choice. Hyperlinks are pretty difficult.

I don't get it, how would that stop him from taking the space out of his link that broke it?

That would be why I quoted the half of your post that I did rather than the half that you are referring too.

    Right...

I am bullying by mentioning something they are doing that is annoying. I really went out of my way to be cruel there too. Good call, glad I was corrected.

No you have a persistant trait to point out the obvious in a ego inflating mentally masturbatory way. You reply to 99% of threads this way. I find that annoying :)

Can I jump into this too?

You my friend find offence in something not even directed at you?  How pitiful your life must be if you need to search out your next argument to swing your e-penis at.  Talk about masturbatory inflationism.

Yes read this, think about it, we call this irony over in these parts.

That doesn't make him wrong about MPS.  At least you saw the irony in your post.  I think that was my favorite part of this little thread.

Why do you insist on quoting the OP everytime?

We can all see the OP too... no need to quote it everytime you reply.

My god, when I think of you, I think of the fat guy from Simpsons. You just go around this forum thinking "Worst Post EVER!"

So you decided to post a completely irrelevant flame just to add your two cents. Good job.

    Sorry I'm late...

Anyway, err, Chuck Norris sucks ass.

    How'm I doing?

  • Really MPS, you might not intend to do this, but every thread you post one of your little nitpicks in always goes downhill in a hurry with you feeding the flames as much as possible.

MPS used to be okay, but ever since the "Greate SpectateSwamp Fiasco of 2008", he's been pretty much a dick and terribly combative in 95% of his posts in every other thread too. The total number of which also seems to grow exponentially by the day.

Absolutely. Obviously I made a horrible mistake here. This kind of comment cannot be tolerated:

Perhaps it's got to do with your general manner, not the 'wrongness' of what you are saying.

And agreed that in this thread, you haven't unleashed both barrels - yet - but I'll give it a few minutes.

Since the subject was brought up here, I thought I would reply here. Since tussling with swampie, you've definitely been throwing your weight around a bit. It's just an observation, is all.

As an aside, bloody hell, do you sleep ???

What would I have to unleash about? And when have I?

How can you throw weight around on a forum? How would one person's post mean anything more or less than someone else's?

    No.

Seems like you've "unleashed" in just about every thread I've read here.  You're always there to derail a thread with your petty attacks.  Seeriuslee dood, nobody else gives a fuck about spelling or any of your other pet peeves, and while you may be right a fair amount of the time, you're as asshole just as often.

  • @Lysis said:

Because I can?  l2forums?  That goes for the second guy too with the gay pink hair in his avatar.

"Learn to forums"? This sentence no verb.

I have no problem with your writing style, even though it does stick out in this forum - but please try to avoid at least some of the "unintelligent/uneducated young internet user" stereotypes. Again, I can live with it, but you are making yourself look bad.

Yes, I know that in some forum somewhere the prevailing usage of language is among those lines. This is not a gaming forum, though, and I do think that needlessly broken english and image macros don't quite belong here (unless specifically fitting the WTF in discussion, of course).

And now I'll try to stay away from the flamewar, even though I have the distinct feeling I just tossed an open gasoline canister into the room.

I disagree. I assume you use threaded view, but I use flat view - and while there's obviously not much point in the first reply in the thread quoting the OP, from then on it's useful to be able to tell at a glance whether it's a reply to the OP or a post since. Though quoting the entire OP is unnecessary, just quote a line and snip the rest.

  • RTE: http://www.kevinroth.com/rte/demo.htm

    does almost the same...

To the contrary, I use flat view. And it is still useless to quote the entire OP.

Sure.  Sure.  But is it equally useless to complain about others quoting the entire OP?  What about complaining about the complainers?  And then complaining about them?  I'm having a hard time figuring out what TRWTF is.  I guess I'll just wait for MPS to figure out why it's really me.

The only thing keeping this argument going is everyone who has to throw their two cents in. I made one statement about it being useless to quote the OP. If it snowballed, it was outside of my control.

As I said, I agree with that. But your original comment said "quoting the OP" rather than "quoting the entire OP". I'd like to see something that indicates it's a reply to the OP, not to someone else. I'd be happy with "@OP:" at the beginning of the post though, or something like that.
