This is the most beautiful missed connection ad I've ever read

Seriously. You owe it to yourself.
But as I cast this virtual coin into the wishing well of the cosmos, it occurs to me, after a million what-ifs and a lifetime of lost sleep, that our connection wasn't missed at all.

- do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers
Oh, wow. Leave it to Craigslist' boilerplate to kill the mood.
"So, after all those years, I still find myself wishing you'd contact me somehow... except do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers. I mean it. Seriously. If you're going to find me just to sell me some Avon shit, then go fuck a tree."

Well, it is 2015 and it is the Internet. It's just as likely this ad is some viral marketing scheme for a new indie found footage film as it is that it's genuine.
But still. Good read.

Also not entirely clear on why a B52 crewman would discharged and in an apartment in Chicago the week after a mission in the middle of a damned war. Even if they let him out, it'd take more than a week to turn it around.
SAC didn't keep those things near cities (the bombers were first strike targets. Cities are further down on the list).

Has anyone in the history of anything ever successfully re-connected via Craigslist? 0.01%? Maybe?
And if they have, what percentage of those connections ended up in regret, stalking and/or rape? I'm guessing 100%. Maybe 100%. No, wait-- I'll stick with 100%.

Nah, it's like the letters in Penthouse. Everybody knows they're fake and/or useless.
