I am about 90% sure this is completely false, but my knowledge of animal behavior does not adequately cover hedgehogs, so maybe there is some truth to it.

Hedgehogs are omnivorous, but they absolutely have no knack in climbing anywhere, moreover, they totally lack high anxiety of any sort.
Some people allowed their pet hedgehogs to walk freely on balconies of their apartments on high floors; the animals were quick to find gaps between balcony floor and wall and stepped right in, falling to their death.

Was listening to the first act but now I'm listening to the second, which is my favourite (except when it isn't).
I enjoy the extra tension on the bass line.Edit: moved to the Jazz Jackrabbit OST now, Scraparap in particular. Someone needs to mashup these soundtracks, it would make me happy. Who knows, maybe I'll do it some day.

Just found out VLC plays them apparently without problems. At work I use rhythmbox, which (IIRC) uses the gstreamer codec framework. Seems likely that identifies the files as some different variation of MOD, so they get added to the library but crash during playback.

VLC is my go-to media player, because it plays damn near everything.

That it does. It's my default for videos at home on windows. I've never looked into its library/playlist features (if any) which would be required for audio playback during work.

from what little research I have done, hedgehogs are carnivorous and mammalian.
I remember reading / hearing that they may use their spines to collect lining for their nests, but I have been unable to confirm that. If there is any truth in it, it would be a fortuitous consequence of some other action.
Their spines are for protection.
On a lighter note, their spines could absorb a considerable amount of kinetic energy, so they may "bounce" when falling from a height, which must be an "occupational" hazard form them given their short sightedness. However, internal injuries may still occur

It was not a conscious troll, yes it was meant to provoke a reaction. But until the 30 min video of a repeated 5 second tune was posted I did not think of the "sonic series" even with a hedgehog "twitching" its spines. It (Sonic) and its competitor "Mario" are just something I have never gotten involved with. Admittedly Mario is more "visible" than Sonic, so I have some awareness of that.
Ps. I was going to say something about that video and the effects / cause it may have on sanity, but I decided not to because that would be considered as trolling, or baiting at least
