Yes, I always want my webpages at 220%
-
I developed a little physics simulation for my pupils on a webpage. However, I made it a bit too small for my screen and thus used the Ctrl-Mousewheel combination on the Edge browser to zoom in, for a factor of 220%.
Looked fine, made some changes, closed the window.
Next window I opened: 220% zoom factor. Used the menu to set it to 100%.
Clicked a link: 220%. Set it to 100% through the menu.
Closed the browser. Opened it again. 220%...
Looked through the menu. No option to reset settings or somesuch. Finally remembered that I had used the mousewheel. This time the settings stuck.
-
I've always used ctrl+0 to reset it, which stays in every browser I've tried, but I haven't tried Edge.

Finally remembered

Chrome seems to remember zoom settings by domain (or subdomain? something like that).
-
This happened to me on chrome as well, not sure why it would think the zoom setting should apply to other tabs. Did I zoom elsewhere? No! Therefore, don't zoom.

Yup, seems to be a WebKit thing. That one gets me every time someone links a small image from Imgur or something similar and days later I find zoom level at 300% or something.

Firefox, too!

Closed the browser. Opened it again. 220%...
What's fun is when you come across a site where the developer of it had obviously hit a similar problem, and all the text is sized for ants…

Depends on the basement I suppose. We have a small selection to choose from!

Ah don't worry! In those complexes you have to get past security AND the teletubbies to get there.
Come to think of it, I haven't visited the ones that have the boohbahs guarding the first floor in a while...
