Certificate Error

I just got an email from IT about the certificate on the internal server being expired (it just expired). They sent a link about how to get around it, but since the linkpointed to our internal server, I had to follow the standard steps in Firefox (I understand the risks, yes add an exception, yes really add it) to actually view the web page that tells me how to do exactly what I just did.

Well, at least they can be sure that everyone who did read that web page now know how to get around the expired certificate... that the page won't be any help to most isn't important.

An expired certificate is no excuse to violate causality. From now on I expect a more responsible attitude from you.

Its a bit funny, it should indeed have been placed on a non-secure part of the server. But otherwise this does make sure everyone tries to access the page so if someone doesn't know how to add an exception they get an "I can't access this page!" support request instead of "Web app X on internal server is broken" request. Keeping it managable and all :P
