Three children were horribly mutilated during the printing process. Two more died trying to rescue them, and they got off light. The three injured children were fired (without wages, of course), so they look forward to a nice, short life full of zero employment opportunities, endless, crippling pain in their stumps, and eventually either freezing to death in the winter, dying of sepsis from infection, or being sold into child prostitution and murdered by an over-zealous john.
Their families, of course, will lose out on those kid's income, which means they'll forfeit on their home and end up in debitor's prison, where they will be repeatedly raped and beaten by guards until they eventually die of malnutrition and/or exposure.

The main worry would be whether there would be easily available compact fuel sources like coal and oil. They were critical in bootstrapping modern civilisation. The problem? Large reserves that are easily extractable with pre-industrial technology have been consumed, which makes it much more difficult to reach the reserves we're currently using…
It's not an insurmountable problem, but it's definitely a real issue.
