Video Wooden Table

  • This thing is getting out of hand. Here we have a video version of the classic wooden table WTF. I have no idea what they are talking about but that is definately a wooden table thingy.

  • I've seen a video on there that was even worse: a cellphone video showing a cellphone playing a video recorded off a TV screen.

    Yes, seriously.

They are all over the place.

  • oooh, mini-soapbox time!

I am so sick of videos on the Internet (specifically, on youtube) of something that should not be a video. A few days ago, somebody linked me to a video that was 100% text scrolling across the screen. 100%! Then yesterday, I saw another video about a guy complaining about some voter results, including a shaky video of the Web site on his computer screen.

With this apparently video/youtube age has come an age of what I am calling "inappropriate media". Videos of things that shouldn't be videos are driving me crazy!

  • Let us revive the YouTube 0.1 thread (note: if you quote, don't forget to go to the last page first).

It is obvious to me this movement is being led by SpectateSwamp.

Make sure to take out some of your frustration on him.

Well yeah, but it's because of the background music.

See, you won't pay any attention to me if I just post a grammatically flawed HTML rant calling Bush a dictator and complaining about how religion is a sham.  But if I put it on a YouTube video, I can sync it up to some song by Rage Against the Machine and make it so that the word "sheeple" appears in red text right as the chorus kicks in.  That means I'm intelligent.

That's so sad but true. But in the particular instance I saw, there wasn't even music. It was literally just text. Plain, unformatted text, scrolling far too slowly. It gave me lots of time to complain about the stupidity while I was waiting for it to catch up to me, at least!

  • I'm active in the emergency lighting business, so have keen interest in any video's posted on Youtube where new products are shown.

Some UK kid is snapping pictures of UK cop cars, editing them into animated gifs where he "animates" the emergency lighting on the car, and records it on his video camera, to post it on Youtube.

    Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXgX3KcmJNA

    WTF?

    WTF? I'm speechless.
