I found a game for Accalia (WARNING: animes)

and most recently, the inevitable Sexy Ladies Making Questionable Noises take on the genre, Sakura Clicker.
-
LOL: Big Anubis.
-
huh.....
you know i miss when those games were only browser based so i could waste a bunch of time writing like ten, maybe 20 lines of js to play the game for me.
that was always about a bilionty seven times more interesting than actually playing the game.
/me still means to get around to figuring out how to cheat at Progress Quest
i think mucking about with the system clock may be needed to hack that game
-
More like Anuboobis!
-
For these, may I recommend AutoHotKey
-
I don't think AutoHotKey works well for Progress Quest, tbh.
Though I seem to remember the Javascript code being Open Source, so "hacking" the web version of that game should be a cakewalk, really.
Filed Under: PQ is a good game, though. The story is just taking really long.
-
-
True story... I used AutoHotKey on a job once to do some automated tests. They wouldn't give me access to the testing framework so I just hacked together a simple click-script.... It worked well for that. I am not sure if it is still used.
Disclaimer: I was not hired as a programmer, so take this story as you will
It also works reasonably well on Cookie-Clicker type games.
Filed Under: not sure what other games people would play on a browser
-
I was talking about clicker games that aren't in a browser like AdVenture Capitalist
-
-
sure, if you want to take the fun out of it.
the fun is figuring out how to break the game JS code.
-
Huh, that's on Steam now? I played ("played") it on Kongregate.
Anyway, Anti-Idle: The Game is still a yardstick for the genre. So.
Also of interest: Candy Box, and A Dark Room. Also Idle Evolution was fun. Google for all of the above.
-

Really? Usually it's just
while(1){something.click()}
.
-
i make them buy the upgrades too. and really it's usually
setInterval(function() {something.click()},1);
anyway to let the async stuff happen and the browser redraw.
-
-
Huh, so people actually play those things and it's not just some freaky fetish of mine.
Having probably like 10k hours on AI:TG might be, though.
-
You asshole! That cost me 6 hours sleep last night!
Must find somewhere “morally safe” to click…
-
AdVenture Capitalist
I have that one on my tablet, it makes a nice toy to poke at over breakfast.
Candy Box, and A Dark Room
I enjoyed both of those :)
-
I was going to post this in the game deals thread, but this topic existed, so whatever.
-

Unless you mean a fairly recent time, you couldn't do that because they all were in Flash. Of course, there's autoclickers.../me still means to get around to figuring out how to cheat at Progress Quest
Cheat Engine has been out for ten years or so already, and it has an option to screw with game's real time clock.Anyway, Anti-Idle: The Game is still a yardstick for the genre. So.
It's funny because it was released years ago. And it was one of the last idle games from that period. But I noticed that since several months ago, Kong games are almost exclusively idle clickers... Which makes me sad because I want to play actual games.A Dark Room
I don't know what is the thing you mean, but it made me think about the latest episode of Life Is Strange because it's named exactly this. Gosh, I hate what they did in the final scene... Also, she shouldn't have burned that photo.

I think I installed it once on my first Linux adventure. I got bored after about ten minutes.also if i use cheatr engine i'm cheating at cheating!
OK, then write your own time-screwing app. It's easy now since Cheat Engine went open source so now you can pretty much copy their shit.BTW - it's funny how they went from classic freeware to trial distribution to open source.

Oh, that. Apparently I'm at the "modest village" stage and the fire has died. Haven't played since... hell knows how long. I don't remember playing it at all on this computer.
-
Also included is 800+ moans as you defeat the monsters.
-
-
You may laugh, but that's actually the reason I didn't check this game out.
-
Easy option: install it on someone else's steam profile…
-

You just need to firei think mucking about with the system clock may be needed to hack that game
WM_TIMER
messages at it, which will cause it to tick faster. I wrote a message hook that fired 99 extra fake timer ticks for every real timer tick (will find the source code later), but just blasting the message using AutoHotKey or whatever should work too.

@blakeyrat, I found a game for you:
Filed Under: Probably made by Jyff Artwyyd
Also Filed Under: No Steam Onebox? Discouuuuuuurse!

I don't like talky games.
