I don't think Google really understands images. [Contains potentially NSFW images]
-
I done a Google search for images of "wicked knives". Here are two unexpected results. The first I could understand - "...bring a gun to a knife fight..." etc. But the second?

-
I think you should tag the thread as NSFW...
-
"wicked knives
It's from a show called "Something Wicked This Way Comes", and one writeup reads
With robots, knives, dark forests, wide-eyed girls, cigarettes and bondate, there is nothing boring about her forthcoming show
-
If I knew how
-
By changing the title to "I don't think Google really understands images. (NSFW)"
-
If I knew how
well you know the
tag....
so it's just thread title.
I did this one for you, but ig you prefer a different warning feel free to change it to a better one. :-D
-
So, it's not really a "tag" then :)
-
A tag is a kind of label, so yeah putting the label in the topic name counts jackass.
-
Given the nature of the topic, I can predict far worse images. Does NSFW only mean nudity?
-
Here are two unexpected results
No repro. Without quotes:
With quotes:
But the second?
Perhaps your results have been tainted by your Google Search History..?
-
Errr no it don't as it is purely a label (in this context) where a Tag would be searchable and filterable.
-
Does NSFW only mean nudity?
No, but the internet being what it is that is the common occurrence thereof.
-
Does NSFW only mean nudity?
Not Safe For Work
nudity is one thing that comes under the umbrella, also usually gore, and discussions of non worksafe topics such as sex, sexuality, drugs, politics, etc.

and discussions of non worksafe topics such as sex, sexuality, drugs, politics, etc.
Most of the long-running topics on here then...?
-
Google Search History..?
Don't use Google for recreational purposes. Nice try, though. Actual URL used to list the images:

depending on how pendantic you want to get..... possibly.
although if you're that pendantic you may as well slap a WEB-MA warning on the whole site.
(i would have suggested the WEB NC17 panda graphic as well but GIS is not being friendly to me and i'm not doing that many GIS searches for that image at work...)

It's way the heck down the page for me, I had to scroll a while. I think someone's making a mountain out of a molehill
-
I applied a liberal, personal, interpretation of what was and was not a knife. I think I marked one incorrectly.
Also, to piss on my bonfire (so to speak) a bit: The results reflect a search for "wicked", "knives" and "wicked knives".
Also, also: @Yamikuronue :mole: < @PJH >

I had to scroll a while
I was trying to find a nice little knife with a foxy motif, suitable for a lady, that just happened to pass by. There was this:

But I didn't think it appropriate, besides: I not totally sure what sort of creature it is supposed to be.
-
besides: I not totally sure what sort of creature it is supposed to be.
i think it's supposed to be a fennec fox.
or a rabbit that's had some.... augmentations...
also how do those legs support her weight?
-
Now. This image seemed to be totally out of place:
So I had a closer look and the word "knives" was in the blurb. Aslo, and this is the bit where I go on about syncronicity (coincidence) read the text near her ankles.
-
augmentations
also how do those legs support her weight?
Didn't notice the legs.
-
-
The point is. Google (and others) create the impression that they do. I could get an image, any image, label and tag it (exif et al) "fluffy, cuddly pink bunny".....
-
Hello? It's 2015! Can we, as a society, finally get it into our thick skulls that Google results are personalized? And have been for almost 10 years at this point?
Perhaps your results have been tainted by your Google Search History..?
Oh you have some vague awareness of this, you're just posting no repro to pretend to be ignorant? Or...?
-
also how do those legs support her weight?
You know when I make fun of Deviant Art masterpieces like that, I usually get chided by a certain person on this forum.
-
Definitely a fox. Whatever kind Renamon was in Digimon. Weird...
-
Found it... note the scrollbar.
-
i would have suggested the WEB NC17 panda...
This is the first three results for a GIS of "Web NC17 panda": http://www.mabsland.com/Adoption.html
OTOH, I'm not at work.
-
http://www.mabsland.com/Adoption.html
that's the page i was looking for.
and yeah work search rules are different than home. :-D
-
Awesome--whoever wrote that @accalia'd the page title!
-
Also--ugh, the MA picture features both rule 1 and rule 2 violations.
-
Oh you have some vague awareness of this, you're just posting no repro to pretend to be ignorant? Or...?
Just thought I'd drop a post to give you the opportunity to state the fucking obvious, and show that you've lost your/never had a sense of humour.
Again.

I was wondering why the second picture was all fuzzy. Then I remembered to click on it, and I still wonder why it was all fuzzy.
