Codethulhu.com?

  • Anyone have any idea why codethulhu.com redirects here? What is this domain actually used for? :P

I already did a WHOIS... I'm working on a DNS tools website at the moment, so yeah, WHOIS is something I use a lot :P

It still doesn't help with explaining what the domain is actually fo, which is why I made this post...

  • Indeed. Perhaps it has something to do with this:

     http://worsethanfailure.com/Articles/The_Call_of_Codethulhu.aspx

Maybe Alex, having made up the word codethulhu, registered the domain to prevent it being nicked by someone else. Or maybe it's for his Next Big Thing.

Ooh, that'd probably explain it. I hadn't read that article, my bad. I only tried searching for "codethulhu.com" in Google, and not just "codethulhu" :P

Certainly the former; I was very annoyed to see enterprisey.com, codesod.com, etc snapped up and then offered as a "convenience" to me for a few thousand bucks. No plans with codethulu.com (open to ideas, though!), but certainly open to ideas... I guess for now I'll just post that image from the article. Kinda forgot about the domain!

Let's make an RPG out of it. That'd bring a whole new class of nerds to the site.
