  • Is the WTF that you used your credit card to buy something for 1.68?  What does that have to do with your grandchildren?

Finance-related websites tend to be quite picky about which browser you use, and block access if there's even a hint that you're using an unapproved browser.

    He makes a good point.

     Upgrade to IE7:  http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx

Man, I hate that. A credit card is convenient. I don't have to carry a wad of cash around. Why should the dollar amount have any bearing on whether I choose to use a credit card?

Further, a lot of cards give cash back or some other kind of reward. Mine does. The rate is about 1% of the total purchases. What kind of chump would turn down the opportunity to get 1% back on EVERYTHING YOU BUY? It's like you're paying extra for no reason.

Why should I plan my day around a visit to the ATM to get cash just because I might make a small purchase? Oh, I'm sorry, does my use of a credit card INCONVENIENCE YOU?

Indeed. TRWTF is that the OP is using IE6 for this. Firefox yes, Opera yes, IE7 maybe. IE6 only if you WANT your details stolen.

To be fair, the site is using https, which will encrypt the entire request and response.  Even IE6 would warn you if you're viewing unencrypted content on an encrypted page.

  • What does IGA have that warrants four to five visits per week?

Using IE6 is like getting cash from a crack dealer in the apartment down the hall, as opposed to going to an ATM.  Pretty risky.

Unless it's been trojaned. If you're using IE6 on a regular basis, there's a pretty good chance that you've got at least one trojan in it somewhere.

Yeah, he went four times in one week and then didn't go again for 165 years.  Now that's a hunger strike!
