WTFs
-
I think I get the point of all the WTFs with geek-related stuff. They're there for a reason! Slashdot has its WTFs, TDWTF has its WTFs, programming languages WTFs, etc. WTFs make stuff interesting to us geeks and we follow them like we have to answer all the questions and find out why the WTFs are there. That is what feeds the geek community. Perhaps we should always try to build some WTFs. They could make stuff seem interesting to a geek and at the same time make it seem like there is room for improvement so they should keep paying to get something reasonable that to them seems great.
I hereby grant myself patent to the meaning and purpose of the WTFs and declare TDWTF a drug.

WTF?

Programming is definitely a case where interesting is bad. Keep your apps boring and off the front page.
