The New Forum Software is *HERE* !!!!!

I'm very exicted to announce that I've successfully deployed the new forums software the test site: http://test.thedailywtf.com. Go check it out.

Some notes.

On the test site, you can login as any account (pw=test), post any data you'd like; it's sandboxed and the mail feature is disabled
Passwords and Profiles will not transfer over, so when this is deployed all registered members will get an email with a new random password*. Sorry!
Anonymous Users now must enter a name and an optional URL
Registered Users may "Troll Vote" a post. Five troll votes and the post is marked as a "Troll"
Registered Users get three troll votes in a 24/hour period.
Registered Users may opt to display the Troll posts.
The database is a snapshot from sometime on sunday.

Please test this out and make sure it does what you think it should do. I'd like to migrate this weekend, but don't want to run into hitches, especially with the RSS feed. The RSS looks fine to me, though.

* The passwords thing has to do with the fact that they changed password hashing techniques. Ugh!

Bug - On ShowPost.aspx, the first post should be top aligned to ligh up with the "Sponsored By".

Does not automatically pick up RSS feed in FFox. Add:

The requirement for a name needs better UI. An error message for
example, instead of just reloading the page when I hit the preview or
post buttons.

Can't log in, attempted to post anonymously, just brings be back to the post screen, no errors, no messages.

It seems worse, to me.

I'll try to fix the validation thing ... but how come you couldn't log in? Did you try "test" as your password? Could you tell the steps to repro?

At first, I had my name wrong... Had sent the e-mail to get my
password.. and after that my real log in "Mike R" didn't work ... :(

Solution Manager has a resolution to your problems:

Use the "Normal" Notification level for this Topic. It will only notify you if you are @mentioned, specifically replied to, or quoted.
