I'm still pondering the WTF-ishness of this post is. I guess it has something to do with book title.
But at least I was tricked into going to the NPR site. I feel some much more, uh, erudite. And a little sleepy.

Whisky Tango Foxtrot is WTF in the ITU phonetic alphabet, which is used by the military (as well as in aviation, ham radio and other applications where accurate copy of spoken letters is critical).

Man, I had to take a nap after browsing that NPR site that Pap linked to. And thanks for the info people, I had, like uh, no clue, that Whiskey Tango Foxtrot was WTF in radio lingo. After all, I was never a radio man in Kuwait, I just play one on the internet.
But seriously, couldn't we all post WTFs where the letters W, T, and F appear by coincidence and say look, hahaha, check this site out, http://www.weathertofly.com/, it is uses the same three letters as our site! Hahahahaha.

As far as I'm aware, you're not allowed to curse over the radio in the British military, so Whiskey Tango Foxtrot was literally the phrase used over the radio when they wanted to say WTF, so, not really a coincidence is it?

Yes. That would be a common theme to the sidebar posts.
...Not so much people posting duplicates to their blog posts about how they can't stay employed, and can't get along with anyone they work with. That is more of a recent trend, unfortunately.

I thought trends had to be popular and not used by only one person to be considered trends otherwise they get called annoyances.
