So we have "Man Dancing", but no "Woman Dancing". Also, probably to @Blakeyrat's dismay, we're going to get "Fox Face". But we'll also get Left-Facing Fist and Right-Facing Fist (I got tired of quoting them) and Facepalm, which is probably actual good one of the bunch.

New release doesn't do much for diversity, but at least you can flip the bird.

I would say there are couple more useful emoji, like ROFL, drooling face, duck…

1F936 MOTHER CHRISTMAS L2/15-048; ; missing gender pair
which has 🎅 U+1F385 FATHER CHRISTMAS to go with it.
And I suppose U+1F57A MAN DANCING was meant to complement the existing 💃 U+1F483 DANCER, which is depicted as women in the U+1F300–U+1F5FF chart, but many fonts and emoji sets actually display it as man and it was not incorrect, because it was not specified.

...huh? That column appears to be "reason why this is being added". It's being added to complete the gender pair.

It is just “Notes”. It is not necessarily the reason why it was added. In particular the rest of the notes for dancing man sound more like open points then reason for adding.
