I had another great interview experience today. I met with the CIO and all I remember about him is that he cussed backwards and forwards, up and down, and every other way you can possibly imagine.
If you are reading this Mr. Tough-Stuff CIO:
All I can say is, way to go. You really came off sounding professional. Actually you sounded like a 12-year old who just learned some "bad" words. Real impressive. It really made me want to come work with your company, not to mention you in particular. I like working with people who cuss like sailors.
I hope you're reading this and I hope you take offense by it. Maybe you'll think twice about cussing on the job again.

I vote to boicott the "other guy", and keep C.P. as #1. He is funnier, and even though I'm the full sleves tatoos on both arms guy that want's to kill, rape and pilleage every office I work at, I still like him better.

You too? Wow, what a coincidence! I was at a customer site a couple weeks ago and the guy was using bad words left, right, and centre! Well, I wasn't going to take that! I reprimanded him on the spot and walked out with my head held high.

My vote is definitely for CPound, his amusing stories brighten my day when i take a breaks from the thuggery and violence i perpetrate in my office on a daily basis(i swear it's the piercings that make me do it). If a CIO at a company wants to swear though, it's his company and he can say what he likes, assuming it's not racist/sexist i suppose. If the guy is swearing in front of clients at meeting etc. i guess that would be a bit weird but in the office with just the employees it's hardly going to be a problem. I think CPound is too easily offended and may need to get himself some of those things men have....ummm balls yeah that's it balls. I guess we'll have to add swearing to the list of things that offends CPounds delicate sensibilities. Anyone else get the impression CPound has had a very sheltered life. Although i do realise there are a some cultural differences with swearing in the au not taking a job solely based on the fact you might have to soil your ears with a few swear words would be considered a bit pissweak.
By way of comparison i've compiled some properties of each:

On paper i think TunnelRat wins but i think i'll always have a soft spot for CPound, his meekness, impotence and inneffectualness seem to make him just that little bit more likeable than TunnelRat

They weren't meant to be interesting, just observations, and i think it's worth noting that neither of them has actually ever said they are white but you seem to find it ridiculous that they would be anything else. I think that in itself is worthy of considering. Also saying that whites are the majority i assume you're talking about the site rather than the world. I suppose you may be right, i'd never really considered it but the site's in english and most english speaking countries are mostly white so it's probably a fair call. AListApart's web designer survey showed 84.6% of web designers as White, with Asian coming in second at 6.6%. So, yeah. It's not a crime to at least assume that your average nerd is White or White-ish :).

Sorry but this is just a pet-peave of mine. But web designers are NOT web developers. Those artistic folk with big stylish glasses and a mac, those are designers. The gruffy long haired guy fiddling with a pen while listening to aggressive music and staring at the monitor while occasionally attacking the keyboard with vigor, ending in looking smug en sipping his coffee. That's a developer (or at least one of the arch-types of developers).
Although on the real issue you where talking about, i would have to say that most developers will probably be white.

And then he shuts the door, and we are standing in this tiny bathroom. WTF? So I just said "I need another beer" and walked out. Yeah, yeah, I am sure you folks thought it was going to be like the scene in American Beauty, where I couldn't control myself and end up making out with him, but nope.
FYI, my wife and I ended up becoming good friends with him and his partner and vacationing with them in Mexico for a few years.
So, I can't really agree with the homophobic charge, but I do have an issue with all those gays in the fashion industry getting to pick the models -- WTF! I think ALA explicitly, for the purposes of the survey and an older article, defined web designers to include webdevelopers. The people who, as a whole, design & shape the web.

I'm throwing my vote in for C£. While I may agree with TubeRodent about runway models, I don't find his posts entertaining to read--I guess I just don't go in for long, racist rants by a guy who wouldn't know a Real Operating System(tm) if it pissed on him, and is certainly one of the worst managers I've ever heard of.
