"You were watching videos about video games, so here are some videos about trains"

Apparently YouTube doesn't understand puns.

Puns are difficult.
-
If YouTube understood puns, it would also understand what utter garbage those videos are and would recommend you the trains video just on principle. I know I would.

Recently, after watching some foosball videos, YT suggested a video about how to choose a condom.

That wasn't a misunderstanding. That was a burn

Videos about trains are always appropriate.

That's because winning foosball makes the ladies in the audience so wet.

My understanding is that @ben_lubar was watching videos in a series called Steam Train (the premise of which is apparently playing games that the person owns on Steam but hasn't played before) and YouTube recommended him videos in the Trains category because it didn't understand the pun in the series title.
Either that or Ben was watching different video game videos and YouTube recommended the Steam Train series, which happened to be in the Trains category because YouTube didn't get the pun.

My son thought that was awesome when I found it a few years ago. He was very much into Thomas and Transformers.

Oh, the video's fine. I was just looking for an excuse to link to a (unintentionally) related
productpiece of tat.
